Our Kronan, White Portion Review

Launched by Swedish match AB in 2007, Kronan White portion snus is another member of the “Value Priced” snus family yet, the flavor tells you it’s a high quality snus! Kronan White is classified as a White type portion which means that they do not go thru the final step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to the portions. Omitting this step leaves the material white and a bit dry but, Swedish Match uses the same soft, teabag type material they use in all their portion snus and is comfortable in the lip for about 2 hours, even though the flavor only lasts about an hour and a half. Each can of Kronan White portion snus has 24, one gram portions with each having 8 mg of Nicotine. Kronan White’s can is a basic, gold colored, plastic can with a plasticized label that seals the lid to the bottom until you open it. Unfortunately, there is no used portion compartment in the lid but, you’re here to find out about the flavor so, let’s talk about that now! Kronan White portion snus is another “Value Priced” snus brand in the Swedish Match family and the second type in the Kronan line. Typically, people tend to think that “value brands” mean lower quality. With Kronan White, this is not the case. Kronan White’s flavor is really complex in the fact that there is the same kind of hand selected tobaccos, from all across the globe, used in a lot of Swedish Match’s regular priced brands along with quality flavorings of citrus and herbs. When these are combined, we get a peppery, dill flavored snus! Not like fresh dill but, the same taste of a dill pickle. Like the ones you would get from a deli in downtown Manhattan!
