Our Prismaster Review

ibmercurial, 11/15/2011 17:19:56
love this product. not a long time snuser but I can say I like the american poison more than the swedish stuff. swedish snus tastes good, delivers a good nicotine blast, but falls apart in my mouth too easy. maybe I try long cut swedish snus. los snus feel like i licked a mud-puddle

Prismaster is for girls. You should just dip your tongue in the box and just put it in the mouth like a shovel. Swallow some all the time and when you swallowed almost everything you just refills your lips. smile:) Thats the best way to get the real taste, and guys, dont use portion or snus with taste like candy. Thats not for men.

Personally i call portion for babyhamster diaper. smile:D

Well, with my first Northerner order, I got myself Goteborgs Rape No. 2, Ettan Portion, and a Prismaster. Until my order arrived, I had only experienced handbaking General Los and using General Portions (Original, White, Mint, Wintergreen, Mini Mint). That said, I felt like I needed a change as to not burn out on the wonderful taste of the Gen.

Now, as a newbie to Los, as well as a newbie to handbaking, (though I thought I was doing a decent job...) I decided I needed a little help with everything. Tonight, I used my Prismaster for the first time and don't know if i ever want to handbake ever again! The 'Master's plunger is adaptable to where you can decide how much you want in a prilla, and doesn't make the mess that I had become accustomed to with handbaking.

The prilla I created was incredibly smooth whith no loose ends like I have seen with handbaking my los and I am starting now to think about integrating work and los together (I'm a portion guy there and a los guy at the end of the night.) plus including new types of los into future orders smile:)

I think I'll name it Kurt Cobain as I have recently seen a photo online of a gentleman who bears a striking resemblance to the deceased rocker (or could Kurt have snused??)

Thank you Prismaster and thank you Northerner for providing such a helpful tool smile:)

I prefer the oval shape of the prilla from the Prismaster over the round prilla from the Icetool. Both work equally well.

I had been hand baking for 6 months before i bought one of these. Its only a few bucks so i thought i would try it to see. I haven't looked back since. I like it because it gives me exactly the same amount everytime, no snus gets wasted and my fingers aren't always brown. Prismaster FTW! smile:D

I ordered my prismaster and found that the pris was a little big for my upper lip. I'm still not that good at hand baking. So I did some searching online and found a really useful tip! If you take the internal part of the prismaker out and put it in rereverse it will make the pris smaller. Put it back in so the flat end of the internal part is facing in the direction of the prismaster without the writing. Now that that's out of the way. This thing is great! I can't quit afford an icetool right now and this thing definitely hits the spot! It makes it really easy to enjoy loose portions. Do yourself a favor and pick one up. It will be a good investment.

I have a pris and I like it, I have liked general snus since I was in 6th grade when I had my Finnish Goaltender coach living in my house when he was here in canada playing hockey...and after trying the skruf extra stark I have liked snus even more, great buzz from then Skruf extra stark Los... Myquestion is what is the size difference of the pris and the 3ml Icetool are they the same size or is the pris bigger and should I get a 5ml icetool?

Thanks

The prismaster is an ideal tool for discreet portioning. Easy to handle, easy to clean, no spare parts needed and nevertheless no dirty fingers. If you once get into this, it'll lead your way. I also like handbaking, because I prefer the ball-form, but this lightweight prismaster with it's carrying-bag is always in my pocket.

I got my Prismaster with an order of a can each of los Gotlands and Nordstrommen Julesnus. Even though the instructions that come with it aren't in English (since I'm in the U.S.), the pictures are pretty self-explanatory. I won't compare it to an Icetool, since I don't have one yet. However, the Prismaster does the job it's meant to do, and it's cheap. I'd definitely get at least one if you're new to los snus and don't want to risk a mess by trying to hand-bake. Just be sure to take it apart and rinse it after putting your pris in.

smile8) Dropping the cash for an ice tool was a little too much for me at first. This Prismaster is ideal as it is light in your pocket and produces a neat little wad to place in your lip.

I carry one now at all times and leave one in my car. It's worth buying a couple just in case.

One thing to watch for is to make sure the end you are sticking into the snuff is not the "open" end as it will not come back out. I labeled mine with a white mark just to make sure.

If you're new to los, get one. An icetool is a pretty big splurge for something you may not even enjoy, but the prismaster lets you get a good idea for what los is all about. I've gotten pretty proficient at hand baking, but this is still just easier, and if you really enjoy los and decide to get an icetool, you'll have had some practice with a similar product, and the $2 spent won't hurt at all.
ddandb, 03/25/2009 14:45:01
It works and it's less then $2.00.
When's he last time you got something that cheap that worked?
It'll form a nice pris for you. Great if your just starting out with loose.
thorsky, 03/24/2009 17:47:30
If you are just getting into Snus I would recommend one of these. While nothing like the Icetool, it will give you some help forming a pris and if you drift away from los or Snus altogether it's no big loss. I used one for about a week then pulled the trigger on an Icetool. That said, once you get into hand baking you may find you don't want a tool at all. smile:D
