Go back Our General, White Portion ReviewMade by Swedish Match in Kungälv, Sweden, General White portion snus is classified as a White type portion which means that they do not put the portions thru the additional step in the manufacturing process that adds more moisture to them. While this leaves the portion material dry, the fact that Swedish Match uses the same soft material they use in all their snus and that the snus its self has more moisture in it than typical snus, makes the portions really comfortable in the lip for well over 2 hours and the flavors to release faster than other White type snus. Each can of General White contains 24, one gram portions that are shaped in the unique “Star” pattern that Swedish Match reserves for only the best snus and each portion contains 8 mg of Nicotine. The can is made of gray plastic with a plasticized label and the General logo on the lid. There is also a used portion compartment that’s concealed under the logo in the lid but, you’re here for the flavors so, let’s discuss that now! Swedish Match describes General White’s flavor as slightly peppery with hints of citrus zest and balanced tobacco notes but we feel the pepper and citrus flavors take center stage here. The peppery note comes from the blend of different tobaccos from around the world that are used in General White and the citrus is bergamot which had a lemon/grapefruit flavor. The salt also plays an important part in the flavor since it enhances the bergamot and actually aids in bringing out the flavor in the tobacco. Got a can of everything from General and this is by far the best, and second would be Los. I did American dip and quit because of the harm it had done to my gums after only eight months. This has more nicotine and is completely harmless

I'd say this is my regular standby, the go to snus for when I want a dripless dip. Sometimes I prefer a little bit stronger, but for everyday use, this is the one that can't be beat. If you are trying to quit Copenhagen or Cigarretes, you've found you poison.

First time Snus user and I found this very good.
Takes a bit of getting used to but, as I'm giving up smoking it's been a godsend. 24 days without a cigarette 
I'll definitely order more.

Very good snus that deserves a spot in anyone's rotation. Way better than the original portions. Has a decent, smooth nic kick. My only knock against these is they can be a little too salty at times for my liking. 4 out of 5.

not a fan at all. Newcomer to snus and a non-smoker. I tried three portions at different times and under different circumstances and could never stomach the flavor. To me, it was way too bitter and salty. Felt like i had a salt cube in my mouth and gave me the chills. Have a bunch of other stuff to try out, but won't get this again.

First Swedish snus I've tried. Been stuck on Camel Snus for about 2 years, and the change was well worth it. The taste is very mild and long lasting, yet there is no bad aftertaste. It's a very consistent buzz. I just ordered the General sample pack, and I'm sure I won't be disappointed... More reviews to come when it arrives!

I have used American tobacco in all its forms for years, I'm a real nicotine addict.A half hour ago I put in my very first Swedish Snus ever,General White portioned. Man I love this stuff already!A bit of a bite at first but becomes very "creamy" feeling in my mouth with an enjoyably natural mild flavor.A real pleasure.I wish I had known of Swedish Snus a long time ago.

Perhaps the perfect snus, although everyone has different tastes. I'm a big fan of Onyx, but often prefer something a little less spectacular.

BIG change from the Camel brand. Personally, I don't like the taste (too bitter for me), but if Camel made snus with the same flavor, it wouldn't be as good. Pick up the trial packs and see if its for you.

A very good snus for anyone new to snus. Classic General flavor that's not too overbearing like regular portions can be for first timers. I recommend it to anyone wanting to quit smoking.
