Go back Our Odens Cinnamon, Portion ReviewManufactured by Gajane, Oden’s Kanel (cinnamon) portion snus is classified as a regular type portion meaning that each portion goes thru a final step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to them before being packaged in the can. This additional moisture aids in marrying the flavors together and allows them to be released faster once it’s in the lip. The portion material that Gajane uses for Kanel is a soft, teabag type material that is pretty comfortable in the lip for over an hour and a half. Each can of Oden’s Kanel contains 24 portions that have just under one gram of snus each as well as 8 mg of Nicotine per portion. The can is made of black plastic with a plasticized label and the lid is embossed with the Oden’s logo but unfortunately, there is no used portion compartment in Oden’s Kanel’s can but you came here to read about the taste so, let’s take a look! Oden’s Kanel is a cinnamon flavored snus but not like one would expect a cinnamon flavored snus to be. Some other snus manufacturers have attempted to make spice flavored snus and actually made cinnamon the predominant flavor. This is not true with Oden’s Kanel. What we taste is a smooth tobacco flavor, a bit of salt and hints of cinnamon in the background. While the cinnamon is in the background, it is noticeable but not overbearing. The tobacco flavor is a great combination of mild tobaccos and really matches well with the cinnamon and salt to create a savory cinnamon flavor as opposed to an overly sweet taste. Unique cinnamon taste (for an American, at least). Dislike how some of the portions seems to be half-full.

Took forever to find the cinnamon flavour. I think the portions were too large. Hard to drink with it in. I wanted to like this so bad! I'll keep searching for a good spiced snus of the Swedish variety.

I give this max. 4/5. It doesn't blow you away but it's not bad. The mild cinnamon flavor makes it interesting, the nic hit is ok'ish, and the portion material is not bad at all, pretty soft on the gums actually. I don't like 2 things however: the flavor doesnt last a very long time and the portions are a bit too big in my op. Otherwise it's ok overall.

This is good stuff. The cinnamon is just right. The portions are generously sized and consistent throughout the can. The taste is like "cinnamon stick" and not candy.
I'll be putting one of these in each order that I make for the foreseeable future!

I like this stuff a lot. Tastes good, smells awesome, can is badass. The flavor doesn't fade out too fast (a problem I've noticed with a lot of the other heavily-flavored snus I've tried) and doesn't taste like candy. It tastes more like if you were to suck on a cinnamon stick. I probably won't use this too often, as I'm favoring plain tobacco flavors like Grov and Ettan so far, but this is nice to mix it up.
One thing: when I got my can of Oden's Licorice the portions were really fat. These ones seem more like the normal size that I get with other portion snus. It doesn't make any difference to me, and maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me (don't have any Licorice right now to compare) but it just kinda wierded me out a bit.

The flavor was good, but at least 3 of the pouches were open with little bits of tobacco everywhere that had to be picked off of the remaining pouches.

I just got my first tin of this today. At first, I couldn't taste the cinnamon. After a couple minutes the flavor kicked in, not too strong. I love the cinnamon flavoring on this - just right. I feared it would taste fake, like a candy or something of the sort.
I don't much like the plastic tins that offroad, thunder, and oden's use. Luckily, Thunder and Oden's has some delicious product within. I don't understand the below complaints about the portion material, seems average. I'll have to keep some of this in my stock. Rating 4/5

An update on my previous review. Not sure if this is typical of all cans but it seems every can tends to have one or two (my last can three) bags that either weren't closed properly, or at all. Its really a matter of having fewer usable snus portions, but this is the only snus I've ever used where I've had this problem, or I just was given a bad roll.

So far am loving this stuff. Comes on with salt flavor followed by tobacco with a hint of natural cinnamon at the end.Perfect balance taste wise for me, decent nic hit. Downside, portion size varies a bit and the material used while not awful, is not top quality either.

I ordered this about two or three weeks ago. While the can looks cool, it feels a little flimsy and cheap. I open up the can and the portions look pretty cheap as well. The snus isn't really packed well, and the bags seemed to be of cheap quality. So I popped one in, and pretty much dismissed my earlier observations. The taste is fantastic, and is pretty satisfying. Ordered a roll about a week ago, should be getting here soon. Almost tempted to try the strong portion, but 17mg of nicotine just seems like overkill.

Very nice snus. I gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. The cinnamon flavor presents itself nicely, not too strong or fake tasting, but just enough to enjoy for those who like cinnamon. It has a nice kick to it as well. I recommend to try this at least once.

i have found this snus becoming part of my normal rotation, the portion material isn't bad aka not as good as swedish matches, but aside from that i enjoyed Odens Kanel, the cinnamon flavor is subtle and not fake tasting, the salt and cinnamon blend well.

 I agree with Justin. After opening few portions, this stuff doen't even look like snus, more like moist cigarette tobacco. Disgusting.

Just tried this. Had it in for a little over 45 minutes now.
Agree with another reviewer here, starts off strong then settles downs nicely. I feel they got the cinnamon just right in this. Not overpowering, not sweet, but nice undertones and I can still taste the cinnamon. You'll probably get an hour out of this. Will buy it a gain for that occasional change off, but I don't think it's something I'll keep constantly on hand.

This snus has a nice natural cinammon flavor that is great. If you are expecting a sweet candy cinammon flavor your not going to get it. It is a very good snus if you like real cinammon. The portions are a little fat and make my lip bulge a little more than normal. It is also a very nice can.I give it 3.5 stars

Very subtle but noticeable cinnamon undertone. Tobacco flavor is nothing special. Good change of pace snus. Find the flavor runs out a bit quickly.

Not bad. Subtle cinnamon flavor is a nice twist. Comes on a little strong at first but finishes nicely while holding its flavor. Would order it again in the future.

Great Snus!!! I have been strictly a Gotlands Snus User for quite my whole snusing career. I have a thing against flavored snus but not only is this Cinnamon Snus have a nice subtle flavor, it holds up quite well.
Just wish I knew more about the product such as TSNA counts and the manufacturer. Definately Roll Worthy.. this will stay beside my Gotlands Snus as they are both my staple brands, Om een opmerking te geven,klik op de drukknop |
