Go back Our Northerner Licorice / Lemon (6mg) ReviewIntroduced in 2007 by Snus Bruket / TillCe AB, Oomph Licorice/Lemon 6mg Mini portion snus is classified as a Dry White Mini type. We know that’s a mouthful so, let’s break the classification down! First, Dry means that the snus has little to no moisture in it. With Oomph Licorice/Lemon, there’s about 1% moisture which makes the snus its self a powder. Second, the White part means, again, no moisture is added to the material at the end of production and Mini means that the portions themselves are about half the size of a regular sized portion. Even though the material is dry, TillCe uses a soft, teabag type material for their portions which, once you wet it a bit, is surprisingly comfortable in the lip for as long as the flavor lasts which is about an hour and a half. Each can of Oomph Licorice/Lemon 6mg has 24 portions that are about .3 grams each. The Nicotine content in them is 6 mg of Nicotine per portion and here’s where we need to explain the Purified part. All purified Nicotine is, basically, Nicotine that has had any impurities removed and is concentrated. The main benefit of Purified Nicotine is how fast it’s absorbed. Typically, the absorption rate is the same as regular portion but, since the snus is dry, without purifying it, it would be minimal since the moisture in regular snus plays a key role in transferring the Nicotine. Ok, enough playing professor, on to the flavor! Oomph Licorice/Lemon’s flavor is really unique in the fact that it’s not really strong. Don’t get us wrong, you can taste the subtle flavors of Licorice and Lemons but, the flavors are not overpowering like in a regular portion. What can also be tasted is the salt but what’s missing is the tobacco flavor. We feel that Oomph Licorice/Lemon makes a great snus for the user that wants a light flavor of licorice and lemon without the typical tobacco flavor that’s in all Swedish snus but, this is what we think, we want to hear your thoughts! I like this one very much. I don't care for the taste of tobacco; also, the regular snus is sometimes hard on my stomach, but this is not. I get a good hit of nicotine out of this. Actually, I wish it were a little stronger in the licorice flavor, but overall it is my favorite.

Definitely a good one to try. The nic hit is a bit weak but the flavor does last quite awhile. (1.5 - 2 hours) I did notice that the flavor is light and not overpowering at all, you can definitely distinguish the difference between the licorice and lemon and they both compliment each other well. for the first couple of minutes I could taste the baking soda but that disappeared quickly and was not so strong as to be unpleasant. Working in an office environment all day with constant face to face interaction, no bad breath, no lip bulge. No one noticed at all. NICE

Good long lasting flavor, a little weak on the nicotine a stronger version of this would do the trick.

I was rather afraid when I got this in a mixed bag of snus, because I really really hate licorice. Amazingly, though, the flavor of these portions is excellent! Probably due to the other, citrus, element of the taste it creates a surprisingly tasty mix that is very palatable even for the worst licorice-haters.
Strong, discreet, so tasty it is almost a pity to remove after the nic wears down... Good snus!

the only snus for me good nic kick... sometimes though i get a tin that has an off flavor with a brown powder in it

Does have a pepper finish with licorice but not getting the lemon and the overall taste is much too muted in my opinion. This isn't an overpowering flavor - it's toned down taste with a buzz.
