What’s that mean?” We know it sounds confusing and, there are a few others out there with this classification so, let’s clarify it here. Dry type means that the snus inside the portions is, well, dry. It’s more like a powdered tobacco but, no need to fear, the snus is still made in the Swedish tradition just air dried and pulverized. Since there is no moisture, the material is dry as well. The mini part means that it’s about half the size of a traditional portion and has less snus, typically around .3 g of snus per portion. Ok, now that we clarified that a bit, back to the review! The material that’s used in Northerner Energy snus is a teabag type material that feels a bit stiff in the hands but, once it’s in your lip, the material gets soft and comfortable and stays that way for about an hour which is about as long as the flavor lasts. Each can of Northerner Energy Snus has 24 portions that have a little less than .3 grams of snus each. Each portion has 6 mg of purified Nicotine along with Taurine, Caffeine and Guarana for a bit of an energy boost! The can is made of white plastic with two chambers on the top, both with flip top lids. The smaller chamber at the top of the can is for used portions but, enough about the can, on to the taste! Northerner Energy Snus has the taste of honey and peppermint but the flavor is not as strong as a typical portion would be. Northerner Energy snus’ flavor is actually pretty subtle until the portion gets wet. Once it does, the flavor begins to come out and is really quite pleasant. There are other flavors in the background like a slight peppery note but, this is from the Nicotine. Another thing about Northerner Energy snus is the fact that it can actually help keep your teeth white and breath fresh. This is from the small bit of Baking Soda used in the portion. Overall, we think Northerner Energy snus is a refreshing twist on the traditional mini portion but, we want to know what you think. My first snus related review
This snus is so much more. I have a low tolerance to nicotine and even though this is a small package it packs a big nicotine punch. Tast is at first of raw leaves back in the throat and upper trachea. After four or five minutes this roughness dissipates slowly to upper mouth. The perception mixes with the sweetener, artificial sugar like, to provide a pleasant and understated tobacco sensation. Moistening you mouth with your tongue bring back these hints for an hour or so. The combination of the nicotine with the caffeine makes me at first light headed. After ten to fifteen, as I adjust, a buzz remains together with increased focus. The balance of the mix presented here by Northerner is truly worth experiencing. Goes well with Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers.

Awesome flavor! can´t complain about this snus. It even makes you more awake during work and helps to concentrate. I recommend it.

Very good taste, fast & sufficent nic hit, discreet and comfortable, the pick me up the cafeine provides is excellent for me trying to cut down on sodas. So many good things to say about this snus. Barely any drip and when it does, it's a pleasant drip with a nice clean flavor. 5 out of 5!

When I received my order I made the mistake of trying two pouches at once. Wow! The "energy" was a bit overwhelming, and I was jacked for a few hours afterwards. You definitely should only do one pouch starting out. Good snus first thing in the morning, but not something I would use all day long. All in all, the product does live up to it's name, and is great when you need a little pick me up.

really enjoyed this. can't say there was much of a caffeine kick since i am a heavy coffee drinker, but comfortable in the lip. recommended.

I'm a student and i have to say this stuff is great for school, caffeine and nicotine together really help my concentration, and its cheaper than getting a coffee and alot better than having to stand outside in the cold or rain having a smoke only to lose the buzz once you get back inside. not having to spit is nice too and it doesnt make your breath stink or your mouth look gross. the only thing i would say is i wish it was a little bit stronger and it would be nice if they had more flavor options of this stuff. basically its more of a practical snuss rather than something you would throw in while watching tv or something. all in all 3/5. id recomend it to anyone who needs a quick discreet boost at work or school

good product, my only complaint is the lack of flavor.. im not a real caffeine sensitive person but they do have a little kick.

This snus is awesome. It's got a decent taste, doesn't run AT ALL, and just enough nicotine and caffeine for an interesting mixture, you can feel the effects of both. I think the company should make more variety in this area as they are so nice, I'm sure they will catch on soon.

I orderd a few cans of this with my last shipment and can bearly get ahold of any of them to review due to the fact that my girlfriend has commandeered them. She absolutely loves the Northerner boost! Funny thing is she hates American snuff so much I have no idea what made her want to try these at all. Maybe I talked too much about the benifits of snus while waiting for my package. But what I can tell you from the few mini pouches I could get my lip around is that you don't expect such a punch in this small of a pouch. (Nearly instant) high quality nictine rush. Surprisingly fast absorption. I suspect in some fasion that 'purified' means concentrated nicotine. And with the added energy its perfect for work, snus change up, waking up, or just plain snus fun. As far as the flavour goes, its advertised as a honey peppermint but I taste birthday cake all day long. May sound strange but my brother confirmed the predominate flavour of birthday cake upoun trying the few samples I gave to him. This snus should have no problem earning a spot in your daily lineup.

First using this Snus i just could not fathom having nicotine and caffeine introduced into my body all at the same time! Perfect in the morning, or when your feeling a little low on energy.
It is also wonderful to know that the portion is purified, making it a very healthy version of smokeless tobacco

I am not sure how to describe the taste... It is not unpleasant to me. The caffeine, I notice a lot. I put one in when I was falling asleep at work and I ended up jumping off the walls

The taste is good but not great, kind of a honey menthol, and as advertised you will not get much or any drip. I assumed that the inclusion of caffeine was more of a placebo, that they'd include it in the ingredients without much effect, but I was wrong. One will give you a kick, and two or three will make your head spin (not recommended on an empty stomach).

For me, it is by far the best smokeless tobacco I have ever had. It satisfies me in the office and no one knows I'm chewing. I have french kissed several women with a pouch in my cheek and they never caught it. I am an American who used to dip Skoal and Copenhagen but I hated the burning sensation these would cause. I never get discomfort from this item and it fits me perfectly. Plus, with the Swedish FDA approving these products, I know that I am getting a safer tobacco than I could ever get in the USA. No offense.

First off, the flavor of this is really great, but the pouches are so small i couldn't really get any nicotine from it, i had to put 4 in, and that's a lot of energy.
