Go back Our Odens Extra Stark Original, Strong Portion ReviewReleased in 2009 by Gajane, Oden’s Extra Stark Original portion snus is classified as a regular type, Extra Strong portion which means that each portion goes thru and additional step in the manufacturing process that adds a bit more moisture to each one. This additional moisture helps the flavors in the snus to meld together and release it sooner when it’s in your lip. The Extra Strong means that Oden’s Extra Stark Original has a Nicotine content over 14 mg per portion. The material that Gajane uses for Oden’s Extra Stark Original is the same soft, teabag type material that they use for all their portion snus and stays comfortable in your lip for over an hour and a half. Each can of Oden’s Extra Stark Original has 24, one gram portions with a whopping 17 mg of Nicotine each. The can is the basic black plastic can with the Oden’s logo embossed in the lid. Unfortunately, there is no used portion compartment in the lid but, let’s take a look at the flavor. Oden’s Extra Stark Original has a flavor that is pretty unique n the fact that it is one of the few pure tobacco flavored snus brands that’s flavor is just that, pure tobacco! The other unique thing is that the tobacco is on the sweet side. While Gajane doesn’t add a sweetener to the snus to get it, it comes from the types of tobacco used. What we taste is a great blend of mild tobaccos that have an earthly, herbal taste with a hint of salt. The salt helps to bring out the earthy flavors and also gives it a subtle sweetness. The other element that Oden’s Extra Stark Original has comes from the high amount of Nicotine. The high Nicotine gives the tobacco a peppery element in taste. It also has a slight burn in the back of the throat but it’s pretty tolerable. Overall, we think that Oden’s Extra Stark Original is a great mild tasting, pure tobacco flavored snus but, we want to know what you think. Really enjoyable flavor and a whallop of a nic hit. Unfortunately, the flavor only remains for about thirty minutes.

Great tobacco taste.Slight sting on the tongue for the first minute or so,as you would expect with 17mg nicotine.Great hit and the effect really lasts.

I tried a number of brands and types and this is my favorite. I like the tobacco taste and the strong nicotine hit.

I much prefer the flavor of Oden's over General and Thunder. The pouch is a bit larger, but thinner, so it's a good fit and very discreet.
 The nic hit is fast, strong and satisfying. I have tried many brands, looking for one that I can order in bulk. This is it.

WOAH you will certainly get a kick out of this one. The taste is pretty ordinary but if you want a snus that will make you heart feel like it is going to explode then this one is for you. Not something you want to use all the time but definately worth trying.

 THIS IS THE BEST SNUS EVER ONE WILL DO THE TRICK AND HAS A PURE TOBACCO FLAVOR THAT IS GOOD I OFTEN FOUND MYSELF DOING 2 GENERAL EXTRA STERK BUT HASNT HAPPPENED WITH ODENS

This is a great snus. I rather enjoy the taste, and the nicotine hit is good. I tend to get more of a nicotine from loose, but I think that is just because I pack such a huge prilla in my cheek! I will definitely buy this again.

If you can get past the smell and the first taste, then you are in for some fun! I have a buddy who chews cope and he figured if he put in three of their pouches each of the 5+ times he chews each day, he could handle three of these. He kept them in for five minutes and could not get out of his recliner thirty minutes later! I gave him a can and he proceeded to do this to other friends who thought they were tough cope and grizzly chewmasters. They were almost sent to the floor by the "real buzz". One of the two has already placed his first order because of it. Not for amatuers!!!

Well the taste is nothing fancy -- it's good, but not great. but i have to say - if you want the strongest snus you can find -- this is it. there's no two ways about it, this sucker has punch.

Great snus for first thing in the morning for those giving up cigarettes. Tobacco flavor mostly, goes well with coffee. Nicotine seems to last for an hour or so. The bag is pretty loosely packed, so it's comfortable, and doesn't bulge much, which is also nice.

Tried it only once, one pouch, friend gave it to me. Quite liked it, still wondering, why I haven't ordered a can yet.
Truly good, lasts long and a bit dry was, but it depends.. MY friend is too lazy to hold snus in fridge, he carries it with himself all day long, in pocket.

Not bad...I'm think I'm used to the high nicotine stuff and this doesn't leave me wanting on that front. But the flavor's got a bit of a cinnamon tone that I'm not quite comfortable with. I can't even imagine how cinnamony the Kenel would have =\.
I'd give it a C, not disapointing, but I probably wouldn't buy it again; there are better flavors out there.

Great snus. Has plenty of kick. Nice tobacco flavor. Better overall flavor than the Kanel. One of my favorites.

If you want tasty snus with a kick, you go for the general extra sterk. For some odd reason, Odens, despite only having 2 more mg than general extra sterk, hits me harder. I like the taste of general more, more I pop one of these every morning to wake me up. It hits you like a freight train.
