Montecristo is classified as a regular type portion since it goes thru the additional process in manufacturing that adds additional moisture to the portion before packaging to help the flavors in the snus marry together and bring the flavors out faster. Montecristo portion snus, just like the cigars, has only the finest Cuban tobacco in it along with clear mountain waters from Norway and is produced in Gotland, Sweden and is described as the “Champagne of snus” by those who have tried it! Each can of Montecristo has 24, one gram portions and each has 11 mg of Nicotine. The portion material used in Montecristo is the same teabag type of material that Taboca uses in most of its portion snus and is pretty comfortable in the lip for over 2 hours. Just like the snus its self, the can is pretty unique as well! Although there is no used portion compartment, the entire outside of the metal can is painted in the traditional Montecristo colors and has a rubberized feel! The Montecristo logo is also on the lid making it look pretty elegant! But the taste is why you’re here so let’s look at that! Montecristo’s flavor is truly unique! The slight peppery taste of the pure Cuban tobacco actually has a light sweetness that, when combined with the lemon/grapefruit (bergamot) flavor and slight saltiness, creates a flavor that confirms that Montecristo portion snus is defiantly the “Champagne of Snus”! The scent of Montecristo has another unique quality in the fact that when you open the can, all you smell is the great Cuban tobacco and bright citrus with no ammonia scent. Very nice taste. Like chewing a Montecristo Cigar. I just started to take snus, but it doesn't give me any hit. Although it is not strong, it really satisfies my nic-addiction. After some time it starts to run slightly, but still ok.

I'm a dedicated customer of the Northerner and only buy from this site, quit smoking thanks to snus and will NEVER quit snus! And now I find I can have my cake and eat it too??? When I smoked I also smoked cigars and in Sacramento Ca. we have a family that came to the U.S. from Cuba during the fall when Castro overthrew the country and this family worked in the cigar and tobacco trade in Cuba growing and making handmade cigars in Havana and now do it in the U.S. with Cuban seed Tobacco they grow here: Heaven! The best cigars I've ever had, a constant present from family and a constant treat I would give myself! Now I can enjoy fine cigar flavor in snus??? I love you, Northerner! I love you for the fine and diverse products you bring to America! I know I'm slathering right now but you have no idea how much I miss my cigars! On the first of May I'm buying two rolls of these cans of snus!

The nicotin isn´t really strong here but the taste of tabacco is really gorgeous
 I m also thinking about bying the Montecristo fringe.

First of all i use snus to cut down on the smoking. It's my second day using snus and i was already able to reduce my smoking to the half (10 cigarettes instead of a full pack of 20) so that's nice.
I only have tried the lucky strike white portion yesterday (which was also very nice) but i think the montecristo has a more elaborate taste and is quite stronger (the drip burns more in the throat when swallowing). I will definitely order this one again

The best tasting snus for me. I would have liked it to be stronger og longer but i guess you can't have it all. It really stands out in the crowd.

This snus - along with the Romeo Y Julieta and Taboca brands - is definitely worth trying at least once! Great flavour, good aroma and an extremely classy metal tin you'll probably want to hang onto even after you've run out of snus.

I have never tried it but reading the comments about how it is expensive kind of made me laugh. Here in Canada a can of any brand costs around $22 Canadian. I will gladly pay $6 for any brand.

One of the first snus I tried and next to Gotlands yellow, my favourite of the citrus brands. Only thing is the portions don't last so long ( I usually like to keep portions in for 1.5 hours) and I am usually done with it after 45 mins. But what a blissful 45 mins. The portions need to be used pretty quickly after the can has been opened, this is not a snus that can sit around as you dip in and out of other brands. A special treat but not an everyday snus.

I agree with JTL. This is a decent SNUS in the best can I've ever seen but the flavor is not something to write home about. It's more of a novelty SNUS to bring out in front of your friends and share. Glad I got a roll but will not order again as there are more satisfying brands out there.

So bad we cannot get that one in the US .... seems great ... what's the point with cuba's embargo when you're dealing every day with a communist China. Cold war is over !!! And i don't understand why the snus is forbidden since the cigars from the same brand are not

Fans of milder Snus will love this. Fantastic tin, Snus is smooth and mellow which some will like but for me lacks the kick of other 8mg portions such as Grov and Clac Qui. Portions are a good size and stay in place well and feel comfortable for a short while then after a bit the ends start to feel sharp. Most disappointing for me was that the flavour only seems to last about 30 mins. As a lover of stronger Snus id give it a 3 out of 5 and maybe buy it once in a while for use after meals etc.
